I am curious what soil you are using to germinate your Codariocalyx Motorius plants.

I had one I grew for about 2 years, then finally gave up o it. just seemed to never acclimate to growing in my living room, and took up too much space for it to get a space under the lights

I am actually doing an experiment here. The seeds are resting on a recipe of something like 1 part peat, 1 part loam and half a part perlite and sand respectively or something like that. I think I may have used some vermiculite as well. I soaked the substrate pretty well, then put a layer of pure vermiculite on top (about 1/4-1/2 inch). I soaked the seeds in warm water for about 2 days, then treated with fungicide. This guy popped up after about a day or 2.

I just looked at the soil. I do not think I added vermiculite to the soil itself, just the top layer.
P.S. Another one germinated today!!
I tried some others using Rapid Rooter plugs and had terrible success which is surprising. Usually rapid rooters work really well but in this case I got hit with a lot of fungus infections. Of course with those seeds I did not treat with Physan 20 first.

Brotherly, what conditions were you growing them in and what happened? This is my first time growing them, I have a ton of seeds to experiment with.

Brotherly, what conditions were you growing them in and what happened? This is my first time growing them, I have a ton of seeds to experiment with. in my living room summer conditions range, generally frm 75-85 degrees, with 60% humidity. Winter it ranger from 55-85 (the side of my house is all glass, so can heat up rather well on sunny winter days), with about 40% humidity

Wow, I wish I had those conditions! Humidity is about 40% in the house right now, and that is in the grow room here all of the water is. (When my hydroponics system was in there the RH was like 60-70%). 40% seems to be the magic percentage otherwise. Most of the CPa don't seem to mind although I do periodically spray them with mist.
