My Aldrovanda have produced what seems to be seeds. After the flowers died, the plants started growing small green pods where the flowers used to be. The 'pods' were facing downward into the water. If these are seeds, I am wondering how to germinate them and how to grow them to maturity.

Nepenthes99, I currently do not grow Aldrovanda, but based on the research I did on the internet, if the 'pods' are facing downwards into the water I believe you do have seeds. I don't think there is a specific germination method, all you have to do is put them in proper water- www.greenculturesg.com/forum/index.php?/topic/27036-aldrovanda-seeds-finally/This thread shows a person saying "I hope they germinate soon." So this must mean they just automatically germinate.

It sounds like you have some Aldrovanda seeds! Great job! I had a bit of success germinating Aldrovanda seeds in the past ( icps.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=aldrovanda&action=display&thread=512). It was simple, I put them in water and they sprouted. The hard part was getting them grow into full-sized plants, that I could not do (well, I threw them in with the rest of the plants, so maybe they did grow full-sized, I just don't have any evidence). Maybe some food (from some pond water) would help them along.
