I have a case of scale that I got from a traded plant a while back. The bad news it's in my Heliamphora tank. It came from a H. minor and has since moved to my H. heterodoxa x. minor and one of my H. "Tequila". I've tried using rubbing alcohol which doesn't both the plants one bit, but only takes care of the scale for a month or so (some of the bigger plants have so many nooks and crannies that I doubt I can get all of them).
Can anyone recommend a good systemic to use on a Heliamphora? Honestly the plants don't seem to be bothered by the bugs. The uninfected ones look and flower just like heavily infested ones...but still. I want them gone. I've read a few books on the subject but I'd also like to get someone with relatively recent first hand experience with this.
Thanks in advance, Adam
