1. Could this be grown in the ground in a Mediterranean climate like coast Southern California? 2. How much water does it need once it is established? 3. Must it get distilled water? Thanks!

first of all they are very sensitive principally the root never touch never get out of their soil, your climate i guess is to ideal because they grown in mediterraneam weather, about the water they just need rain water or destilated, not too much not too less, needs the composition of 50% turbe blond , 40% sand, anthe 10% perlite. be carefull always on sun you can find more information by internet.
enjoy your grown.
1. ¿Podría esto ser cultivadas en el suelo en un clima mediterráneo, como la costa sur de California? 2. ¿Cuánta agua se necesita, una vez que se establece? 3. ¿Tiene que conseguir agua destilada? Gracias! [/ Quote]

Erick: Thank you for the guidance.
Are the roots so delicate that it would kill the plant if I tried to put it in a different pot? If so, then I guess that rules out planting in the ground.
