Can you post a closeup pic of just the Terrarium? Looks like you need more space. It's hard not to keep aquiring more plants.

I'd recommend lowering the lights a bit (if possible) or raising plants a bit closer to the lights so that they don't get etiolated. They may look great at first, but the further away plants are from growlights, the light gets exponentially less intense. Otherwise, looks like a neat setup!

You don't want to seal the tank where no air can circulate. Without fresh air you will have mold problems and slime build up. If you install a PC fan you can close it. Then you could lower the lights to right on top of the tank. Line the back wall and what ever else with mylar. Black electrical tape works great for hanging mylar.

It looks awful dark in that terrarium.

Dilpickle, I'm curious why you have a set-up like this considering you live in Tampa. Most of your Sarracenia and flytraps would be happiest outside next to your palm tree around the pool (out of the splash zone) in full sun. Check out some photos from our nursery, and our podcasts can be helpful also. cobraplant.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=101Jeff

I'd have to agree with Mr. J. Dallas, being a recipient of his advice in the past. This first summer of growing CP's went great for me with mostly flytraps and sarrs in full sun. And being in your location, I don't think anything would need to be taken to protect them through the winter. setting up a nice display somewhere in full sun around that pool sounds like a good idea to me. Now I think with Floridas late Spring/Summertime heat the location you have now would be just fine....
