So i just received various sarracenia, darlingtonia, and drosera (capensis) seeds. I know the sarracenia and darlingtonia need a stratification period but im just not sure when i should start that. The same with the my capensis seeds. I have heard that drosera can be planted just about anytime.

hi dilpickle, i normaly start my sarracenia seed stratification when i wont, it dont really matter what time off the year you start just keep them on a warm window sill in bright light in the winter and autumn or you could just put the seeds in a pot cover them with something to stop rain washing seeds away and put them outside in winter then when spring comes they should sprout and start growing, with the drosera capensis you can start them anytime of the year
hope this helps
