Great growing job! I'm envious. This is one of the three helis (along with elongata and hispida) that I can't grow well. Do you manage to provide very cool temperatures in nightime?
François.

Thank you..
Actually I have a basement setup, so temps remain pretty consistant from day to night.

Lighting: 5000k 85CRI T5's 85CRI..... 5+ years back, I had no problem finding lamps (T-8's) w/ CRI's in the mid 90's. Now, they seem to be rare & expensive. While the plants may do well with the big box 'warm white' or 'cool white' lamps, imho, they leave something to be desired for my viewing pleasure.... Great Heli's as usual Av. Your setup & growing practices sure produce some outstanding plants!

Back in my T12 days one of my fav bulbs was the classic Chroma50 by GE, it has a CRI of 95 IIRC.
I would mix it with a gro-bulb,
Lowes and walmart still carries the Chroma50 around here but only in T12 format
Now its packaged as the "Sunshine" bulb
and thanks Ron, I am honored Butch

Walberg, No terrarium or tank, just a typical plant rack... I'm located in the USA Bulbs were less then 2.00USD ea. on ebay. It was an excellent buy at the time. I got a case of 20 for 1.00 plus shipping. I was the only bidder in a no reserve auction BTW, Ive divided the plant and an established adult division will be in the next NASC charity auction CONUS shipping only though.... sorry
