Hey Randy, Great shots! Makoto is quite a character.... ;D What an excellent field partner. I bet you guys had a blast. The D. filiformis site is great. Glad to see they're doing so well. I noticed the bulging, ripe seedpods of the proposed Droserahybrid during your pan of the site. Very interesting indeed... I'd like to see Phil at Meadowview get a hold of some of those for testing, legally collected of course.... Any plans for such? Best, Brian.

Watch out, David Attenborough -- Randy Zerr is in town... Great work, Randy. I'm thinking I'll be down there next spring to join you on your annual trek to the Apalachicola NF. I expect you are a bit jaded when it comes to Sarracenia flava var. rubricorpa, but that's one I have to see before I turn to dust. The Drosera filiformis (red form) also does it for me. Thanks, again, for sharing your carnivorous adventures with us. Best wishes, Jim

Thanks fellas. Brian, I don't think the seed is ripe yet. Plants were only maybe 1/4 into the flowering. Maybe next month? It will be interesting to find out if they are sterile or not. I'll have to get back out there soon and get some samples for Phil. Let me know when you might be coming, Jim. I'm usually free on the weekends.
