Remember though that these temperatures are means. If you select the all data option for the first link you will see that the highest temperature recorded was 43.9°C, pretty darn hot! Maximum temperatures over 40°C are not uncommon according to this table and so may give an indication as to the maximum temperature the plants can tolerate, but not necessarily the ideal growing conditions....
I would also note a minimum (ground) temperature of -5.7°C in September, whivh may explain why some UK growers manage this species in unheated greenhouses which get several degrees of frost!
