Hello Everyone
First off I want to apologize for the delay in posting some of the auction information. Many of my personal duties were put on hold for the past month or so as I dealt with the final stages of illness of my beloved dog Ollie. Last Wednesday morning he was gently eased out of his ailing body onto a new, pain-free journey. I am still a wreck but I'm trying to get back to the things I need to do.
SO...very soon (hopefully tonite or tomorrow) the 2009 NASC Benefit Auction rules will be available for viewing within the (closed) auction forum at www.terraforums.com.
Please feel free to ask any questions you'd like!
We would appreciate any item you'd like to offer as a donation. The more items, the more fun and the more we dollars we can raise for Sarracenia conservation. You can donate just about anything...plant, non-plant, crazy, wonderful (Green Swamp tour!), beginner, rare...whatever. And...it's just plain fun!
This year we will be donating 50% of our proceeds (up to $1,500) to the Wilmington area TNC group (via the Durham NC office) for the maintenance of a Myrtle Head N.C. savannah location. This location was the site of a recent replanting of poached S. purpurea and Venus flytraps. Our Head of Conservation, Mark Todd, participated in this successful replanting effort along with the area TNC group (photos of this are posted in the NASC forum). They will be using the donation (given in grant form) to fund burns and other maintenance needs for this important area hosting Sarracenia, Drosera and Pinguicula.
Thank you for all your past support of the NASC Benefit Auction (hosted at and for your support this year.
Suzanne
