That is great- very exciting! So, you took the cuttings the same day you got the plant? Did it come via mail or did you pick it up personally? I ask because I expect to receive a ceph in the mail soon and I hear they often go into "shipping shock" and drop their leaves. If this is the case, it makes sense to just use the leaves as cuttings . . . ? Or would that put the plant further into shock? Thanks for the images.

hello wjenski,i collected the cephs personally from a local grower..they are my first cephs so i took some winter leaves and try root them juz in case i foolishly kill the parent plants..but so far,everything's going on fine for me and i hope that'll go on and on..hehe as for ur question,i'm not quite sure coz me too has juz started growing cephs..perhaps others who are more experienced would want to add some inputs?

I recieved a Ceph via the post in the last 6 wks and its been fine. I lost maybe a handful of traps but i think that was more due to the natural process of the older traps dying off. They didnt all drop off at once and the plant is now producing some new growth. If u want to take a few leaf pullings go ahead, i did and it had no effect on the plant.
