The ICPS has sponsored conservation work at a site in Alabama. We can discuss this site here. Please remember not to identify this site by name, if you know it. We cannot give poachers information about this site, and undo the conservation gains we have contributed to.

I helped out with a Sarracenia oreophila project about 8 years ago? I'm curious how that is going.

Hey Randy,
Which project was it? What did you do?

I can't remember exactly. If I'm not mistaken, it was to help purchase some land S. oreophila grew on? I just donated some $$ is all. Curious how that turned out. Probably more than one project??

Hmm. This wasn't anything the ICPS was involved in.
Related conservation activities the ICPS has done over the years:
2000--sponsored an S. oreophila manager meeting.
2002-2007--sponsored conservation work at S. oreophila sites in Alabama, Georgia North Carolina.
2003(ish)--Sarracenia alabamensis plant distribution project.
2008--Splinter Hill fund raising (no S. oreophila there).
Does any of this sound familiar?

It must have been the 2000 meeting is all. Thanks Barry.

Hey Randy,
Since I rarely discard data, I looked up the donation records, and sure enough, I found your donation information. You helped support the 2000 S. oreophila stewardship meeting. This was a very important meeting, and a lot of great stuff came out of it. Thanks for the foresight you showed in supporting this meeting!
Barry
