Hi All, Here's a picture I've been meaning to post for a little while now. This S. flava v. rugelii was going to be a beast of a pitcher, but just after it opened, before the pitcher had time to harden up there was a storm here at Meadowview, and the pitcher was not only knocked over, but its hood got messed up too. However, despite having the pitcher now useless, it still looked very comical to me- the photo looks to me of a smiling face, with a real big grin. Maybe I'm looking into this too much. Also, as long as global warming continues, this could prove to be a stable trait (to all the sticklers-the stable trait thing is a joke obviously- unfortunately global warming isn't ), since we've been getting slammed by severe weather day after day here at Meadowview, and some meteorologists link increased occurance of storms with global warming. Anyway, I may be treading on political territory with this topic so I'll just show the picture; Here he is; he's lovin' all those carbon dioxide emissions creating storms I guess- he's got a big grin... actually, looking at it now, I think he's yelling instead, "Reduce your carbon footprint now!" Anyways, you should start listening more to your Sarracenia when they're talking to you- they might be on to something... best, Nick 'bluesboy'
