I believe that Fly Trap Farm in N.C. digs up plants on their own property. I know this is a little late, but I just saw this. I need to check here more often I guess.
I live 5 miles from Flytrapfarms. Just because they have farm in thier name does not mean they grow them on their property. I know for a fact that they dig up wild plants and then sell them. Send them an email and ask, they don't hide that fact. They use a collecting permit that NC has to collect cp's. I have looked into them before and unless I can catch them on private property digging up plants without permission there is nothing that can be done.
I have been to their greenhouse, they take wild plants, pot them up, and grow them under metal halide light, in a greenhouse long enough to get them really red and then ship them out as they are ordered.
Just because you can't catch them breaking a law does not make what they do right. I live close enough to just drive up and buy any plant I want and get very good deals. I also live close enough to wild vft's to dig them up out of the ground for free. I consider both just as wrong. Whether I buy them from flytrapfarm or dig them up myself they still come from the wild.
I guess you have to decide for yourself if it's against your own morals to buy from them. I made my decision.
