I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this......... Pine Barrens - NJJune 15-17, 2007 The plan is, if any one else is interested in going, that on Saturday we will be paddling on some streams in the Pine Barrens. If you have a boat, you are welcome to come along. If you do not have a boat you can still come but will have to do exploring on your own while the rest of us are on the water Saturday. As a side note, I have seen a place that rents canoes near-by. I'm not sure how much it is to rent them, or how / if they transport them to certain locations for you, but this could be looked into further if anyone is interested in renting a canoe and joining in the water trip. Got my site today. I'm at number 10 at the Atsion campsites. When I called 4 and 6 where the only ones reserved so far. Atsion Office: (609) 268-0444 www.state.nj.us/dep/parksandforests/parks/maps/atsignfamilymap-wsf.pdfHope to see some new faces this year.

Will you be going to sites that are known to have CPs growing?

The investigating that I've done so far in Wharton State Forest, it's hard not to find any CP's around.
This is what I've seen there: Sarracenia purpurea
D. intermedia D. rotundiflora D. filiformisis
U. inflata and some other aquatic bladderworts.

Hey guys, I'd like to make it up there but I'm not planning on getting a site, I only live 20 minutes away. Is any one going on Saturday who either isn't going on the water and wants to go out exploring or has an extra spot on their boat? (I'm in shape, I don't mind paddling ) If so, please post here or PM me and let me know because I'd really like to get there Saturday. Problem us I have no boat to go out with you guys so I'd be kinda stuck. Also on Sunday when your doing the dry land thing would someone like to give me a campsite number and time to meet them? I'd like to leave my car at someone's site and go out with everyone on Sunday as well. Thanks, I'm looking forward to it. -Mike

Mike, Nothing is written in stone. Sounds like someone that is coming on Saturday knows some nice sites. I told him to come around the camp site around 8:00 - 8:30 and we can try to figure out what we are doing.

Steven,
Thanks for the quick reply. I take it from the first post that I would still need to find a boat for Saturday?

I do not know who all is coming, and if they all have boats themselves. So there maybe more then one group that will go out. Maybe some in boats, some land exploration, who knows. I know the one buddy of mine that is going mentioned he should have space in his boat.
Who knows we might check out the sites Saturday morning, and then put in the water later Saturday.
It's all up in the air.
I'm actually leaving today after work to head out.
