My little indoor Greenhouse is a year old now. I’m using a Sunblaster T5HO on the top shelf And a cheap 45 watt Red/Blue LED Panel for the middle and bottom shelf. My little glabrata grows under the LEDs As does my H. pulchella (Akopan Tepui) The greenhouse is much more crowded now since the ICPS Conference this August in California 🌞 There are 26 baby Neps crowded in among Pings, Drosera, Helis, etc... I’m also researching my next lights. I’d prefer White LEDs this time.

Nice plants. I guess you don't stay down in the 30's very long? I'm curious how yours do without a really cold dormancy. Well my outside plants are getting winter sunlight. It’s been in the 40’s at night this week. I’d say they are going dormant. I just usually post pics of the prettier parts of the plants. You can see some dead pitchers in these pics and the non Carnivorous leaves in the last pic.

Welcome Coursair. How cold do your winter temperatures get? I'm wondering about dormancy requirements for some of your plants. It’s been a weird winter. But we did get down to 30’s on a couple of nights. My outside plants are all alive. I did bring in my Drosera intermedia x capillaris , it looked very unhappy. It’s fully recovered now. And a tiny D binata popped up in the pot as well. I didn’t notice it till today. But if you zoom in it is in the pic. The green of the baby binata was red today.

Well it relocated 1.5 hours South. It came from CA Carn and I drove there.
It seems a bit pinker in the sunniest spot I could find.
It does eat a lot.

This is my porch lineup. It did get repotted to a huge pot. It’s the one in the middle. My other Drosera are happy. But then they were volunteers. I’ll try a different spot and give it some time. We had 113°F heat wave. I’m just glad all my plants are alive.

If it turned that green, it's not it full sun. While some plants will turn green and get larger when heavily fed/catching high levels of prey, that usually doesn't apply when out in full, 12+ hour sun. Most likely it's being shaded by something out there. I had it out in the middle of the yard. We have big trees and I noticed the sun pattern shifting. I moved it to the edge of my porch. Partly to protect from falling branches. Partly to protect from the squirrels. It does get hours of sun, but maybe not as much ? I may try it in a different sunny spot away from the trees. It is catching a lot of bugs. Thanks for the info

Hi all. I’m a new fan of Carnivores. I’ve killed a few Flytraps in the past from bad advice. I’m growing outdoors in Zone 9b So far I have Sarracenias, Droseras and Utricularia ( volunteers ) This is one of my newest youngsters S. leucophylla alba Hurricane Creek White Clone F from Mike Wang. I have 2. I planted them seperately. 1 as a single and one in a mixed pot. New traps All of my Sarrs are youngsters. My S flava ornata is growing the fastest so far. I lurk a lot, but I’m sure I’ll have questions. Thank you in advance. Other hobbies ? Planted aquariums and competing with my Whippets ...and Wine !

I bought this Drocera intermedia x capillaris from CA Carnivores. It was a lovely red. I have it outside in full sun and it’s gone green. It’s dewey and capturing prey. I only use RO or zero TDS water. I just misted it with a little MaxSea. Any answers for a newbie Drocera fan ?
