Here's a pic of a seedling of a special cross of Nep. ventricosa 'red' x mira that I'm hoping will be possible cultivar status; this picture doesn't show it, but the plants are already showing really nice teeth, even on 1 inch pitchers. Also, I don't mist my nepenthes at all; in other words this picture is of nepenthes 'drool'. When the plants are big enough that I will sell them, and if the trait stays consistent in different set-ups I hope to call this 'sweet-tooth', and noticed that that name hasn't been registered yet, so..... as far as I know, no one grows this hybrid either- all different seed clones of this cross exhibit this excessive nectar trait more than any other nepenthes I grow, and btw, the droplet has dropped off since the picture was taken, and is quickly being replaced... anyway, here's the drooler

I want to collect and harvest all my nepenthes nectar until I have enough for a coffee mug, then heat it up, add more sugar, and drink it all : D--------

lol talking about poppy opium you guys would really need to use the asian or indian/eastern form of poppies because the poppies we have here in cali are so small it would take several hundred before any affect would take place........

Okay so I have never been able to keep my plants long enough to get nectar....however my orchids were in the window and this morning they had what I thought was water drops but I hadn't watered it...so I poked it with my finger and it stuck...so I was all NECTAR!.......and it was so sweet....I had to resist the temptation to eat my orchids...lol
