Hi all. Today when I got home a squirrel had essentially cut one of my nepenthes in half. It chewed off the portion where new shoots sprout from and ripped off its only pitcher (it only had one because the others were severely damaged in shipment). I was wondering if it likely to survive (it still has four leaves each about 3 inches long) or if a nepenthes cannot recover after having the part where the new leaves/shoots form removed. Any advice would help.

It can sprout from sleeping buds on the stem...provided you have shot the squirrel so it doesn't keep happening.

Thanks for the help. I appreciate it. I noticed your location is in the Netherlands, I might actually be coming their to study in Maastricht for a couple of months.
