I have my first, really highland plants coming in September. I currently have N.robcantleyi and it's done perfectly, for the past 2 years. I have had my N.hamata for about a month and its growing new pitchers, so I'm hoping it's happy. My concern is the night temperature drop. I've been researching building a large chamber to cool at night, but it's difficult to find information and equipment that could cool a 5' x 7' x 6' space and raise the humidity, without being a slave to daily refilling of small humidifiers. I'm still going to do it, but not sure when I'll find an acceptable solution. Currently, my night temps are 68-70F, with days 75-80F and humidity is steady, between 75-80%, with the young plants being grown enclosed, it's 100% humidity for them. Is this enough? My gut and research says no, but maybe, like I'm on the threshold of just barely making by and too warm at night. The goal is to achieve ideal conditions long term and they won't be able to stay in tiny enclosure forever. What are your opinions on how well my current conditions might suit them and what suggestions do you have for cooling the chamber, at night, while raising humidity, with minimal assembly required? Thanks in advance.
