I decided this spring when three of my Sarracenia's were flowering to try to make some hybrids. It looks like I'm developing seed pods, but now I'm worried about how I'm going to germinate the seeds.
I was planning on trying on using the terrarium I have indoors for this, but I'm worried it isn't going to work, given I've had no success with Drosera seeds I've ordered from the ICPS website. It's a 15 gallon tank covered with a clear top lit with a Fluval eco bright LED at 500 lumens, 8 Watts, and 7500K color temp. I'm guessing this light just isn't sufficient, though I have had really good success with plants in it, growing Nepenthes cuttings really well and recovering a N. ampullaria that I had outside, and have actually had some drosera seed germination from established capensis and spatulatta. I also haven't had any real problems with mold growth.
I guess my question is is there anything I can do with or add to what I have to get sarracenia seeds to germinate?

Is it possible that your seeds didn't germinate because they were a bit old or possibly weren't ready when they were collected? I know I got some venus flytraps and there were apparently some drosera seeds on the soil. I have have 8-10 drosera plantlettes...most of which I have transplanted. I just put the plants in their water tray and put them outside since late winter. My largest plantlette is 1.5 inches tall and about the same across. I heard they are pretty easy to grow as they are supposed to be the "weed" of the carnivorous plant world but I haven't TRIED to grow them either. They just happened, lol.

I also got excited and bought some s.leucophylla seeds from the seed bank. I'm guessing I should probably just keep the seeds till late this fall and cold stratify them over the winter in the garage. However, until then, should they be stored in refrigerator?

Store dry seed in a sealed container under refrigeration. Do not allow to freeze.
