Jonathan,
In this forum and others, especially under conservation categories, you'll read about hesitancy of folks to post specific locations on public forums such as this. Poaching is still a serious problem, and many people have revealed great locations, only to go back later and find it stripped bare. A couple of us have mentioned the Green Swamp in NC, but this is already a very well-known site under protection of the Nature Conservancy. However, when I was there in 2012, there had just been some folks from a local town arrested for poaching Venus Flytraps out there.
If you're going to be making a trip to some cp habitat areas, it's probably best to have a private conversation and develop a relationship (build some trust) with someone who can reveal some treasured locations. Everyone I've talked to says it's getting harder and harder to find big beautiful stands of Sarracenia in the Southeast, much of which is from habitat destruction, but poaching pressure is very real too.

Understandable, I hope I haven't offended anyone. You are right, there is a serious problem about poaching plants from the wild. I just never thought of that before I posted. Sorry!

I just never thought of that before I posted. Sorry! -Jonathan No apology necessary -- that understanding is not automatic; someone plants the idea, then we realize "Oh! Of course -- I should have known that!" Now you get the picture, and that's great :-)
