3 months, ok. I knew that the pitchers it already had wouldn't likely live long enough for that to be reasonable, but I wasn't sure how long I would have to wait beyond just for new pitchers to grow. I was worried it might put the plant into shock or something if I fed it too quickly, and since it is not going outside and there aren't too many bugs in my house, I would have to manually feed it.

So my set up for my pot is above the dish so that the water will drain out but the water in the dish won't soak the bottom. I know many people mark how frequently they water nepenthes by waiting for the dish to dry out before each watering, but will that still work if the water in the dish doesn't contribute to the moisture of the soil in the pot itself?
