Hi all. I have this kuchingensis in the pictures. Not sure of the age of it. Have had it about a year and a half now. When is a good time to transplant? As you can see in the pictures there are quite a few plants in the basal area, as well as new vines coming on the main vine. Are the basal plants transferable?

It would be probably a good idea to move it up to a bigger pot at this point. As for the basals, they can be cut and rooted like any other cutting, but remember that they are still attached to the main plant, and are not separate.

Since I haven't done that before, will I be able to tell where to cut them without hurting the main plant?

You need to remove the soil around them to see where they start, and a good place to cut is after their lowest first leave, that way you also give a new growing point to the plant
