Hi Everybody,
On February 20, when my Royal Red left the fridge after a 90-day "nap," a tiny shoot looked taller about 3.5 hours later. From then on, the plant grew astoundingly fast in front of my grow light.
I emailed a nurseryman a photo of the plant because to me, it looked unhealthy. He said that the petioles looked all right for early grow and that the plant was still resting. "Be patient, give it lots of sun and lots of love," he told me, "and it'll be fine."
Now, more than a month after dormancy, the early growth is dying, there's a tiny red shoot beside the clipped flower stalk along with a healthy-looking, open-trapped petiole. Is the plant behaving normally today when my other Dionaeas seem healthy?
Thanks.
Bill

It started to grow a flower which you clipped off? If you clip it too soon sometimes they attempt to grow a replacement. I tend to snip them off when they're a couple of inches high to avoid this.
Just leave it be and see what happens.
