Hi,
i just booked some flights to the US for June this year. Together with five more germans i will do an excursion to the US. We will travel through both Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana (New Orleans). We would like to see as many carnivorous plants as possible. We are happy about any information or tips, we can get. Please contact me by PM or Email if you can/want to help us. Of course i do keep every information confidential. Thanks!

One interesting spot i visit often is Tarkiln Bayou Preserve located near Pensacola Florida. It is a Florida State park that has many great hiking trails and a short boardwalk trail and all of the trails have CP's along them. i have personally seen S.rosea, S. luecophylla, Drosera capillaris ''regular'' and ''long arm'', Drosera tracyi, Drosera brevifolia, Pinguicula planifolia, and what i believe to be U. subulata. i located all these plants right along the many hiking trails. S. psittacina and S. rubra ssp gulfensis also reportedly grow there but i have not located them yet. For more info you can look Tarkiln bayou up at the Florida state parks website. I hope you enjoy your trip to the U.S. and see as many CP's as possible.

Hi Christian, I will be traveling all throughout North Carolina this summer working on a book about Sarracenia of North Carolina. If you and your friends would like to meet and tour some areas together I would love the company!

Hi all, sorry for that late reply, i was quite busy the last weeks. Now it's only about six more weeks until we fly, so time to make final preparations Thanks to everyone who contacted me or gave some tips here! We got so much information, that we will have to choose where to go (we only have about two weeks). Looks like it's going to be a successfull trip. Christian
