Hi Robert, One way to discern between the two, is the presence of a waxy/powdery coating on the inside of the leaves and "tank". Only C. berteroniana is known to possess this trait, to my knowledge... Hope this helps, Brian

that is definitely morreniana. I have had morreniana for awhile and I believed it was berteroniana, it came mislabeled and when I put it up for trade on Terraforums people informed me that my identification of berteroniana was incorrect. From what I have learned, the easiest way to tell whether you have berteroniana or morreniana is by the number of pups produced at a single time. Berteroniana will only produce one pup, while morreniana will produce multiple pups. My Catopsis produced 6 pups at once so that eliminates berteroniana from the ID. Hope that helps.
