Hi All - I'm going to be down in the panhandle of Florida in mid-March and intend to go to Tate's Hell State Forest. I'd like to find some CP's for a film project I am working on. Unfortunately, I can't schedule more than a couple days for filming in the area, and so I need to be efficient in my search for shots. Therefore, I am hoping to speak to someone who has experience in the area and can direct me to some good sites. If anyone has any advice please PM me. Thank you for reading my request.

I hiked the bluff trail yesterday and saw plenty small sundew plants. The ones that initially caught my attention were actually growing in the middle of the trail. I actually found your post via Google looking for more info on plants in Tate's Hell. I recommend starting at the eastern most parting lot off US98 and only bother to walking the first 2.5 miles. The first hill you hit is an ancient sand dune and it has some funky species growing a top it. It seems that the instance of interesting plant life occupies that beginning portion up to the second dune. Be sure to also enjoy the abundant wild sea lavender.
PS. Keep an eye out for Bald Eagles. Very likely you'll see one.
To see the pitcher plant bogs check out this link. As the crow flies, Wright Lake is only about 20 miles north of Tate's Hell.
