Stars & stripes - colors of N. maxima

Hello all

I post some pics of N. maxima from Sulawesi from my last field trip which led me to Sulawesi and Sumatra in spring 2011. The stars are the plants/pitchers and the stripes you see on their peristome :-)

We may soon see this group of N. maxima forms in isolated populations being described as well over a dozen or more new species in Sulawesi alone!

It seems like anything from Sulawesi is going to be amazing. Giant reticulated pythons, Tylomelania snails, and these outstanding N. maximas. Very nice photos.
