Hey gang,
So did you guys have a nice Christmas or any other holiday some of you might have celebrated? I know I just posted a topic about 2-3 days ago but hey, isnt this what this forum is for?
So I have been looking around online for some cp soil. They are listed for pretty good prices but the shipping and handling is always about $10 or so. Anyone have a trusted source that doesnt have too big a shipping and handling fee?

Hi Bob, Soil is heavy even when dry, so even when using flat-rate priority mail boxes, you end up around that figure. What your paying for is for someone else to mix the soil for you, and a convenience. If you want cheap, you have to mix your own. At our nursery we make no secret about what we use in the soil. A bale of peat moss at a garden center runs around $10.00 or so. That can make quite a bit of cp mix. Jeff

Jeff,
I am a bit relatively new to this so I dont know how much parts are in a certain mix. I hear that sometimes certain sphagnum moss has been treated with chemicals that are bad for your plants and so I dont know which one to buy. It helps when it comes from someone that has had experience with it already.
I just saw some on bug biting plants.com that also has a 10 dollar s+h fee but it comes with a free 1-2 year old venus flytrap. That might be worth it but wont the Vft wake up from dormancy when it is being shipped?
