My ceph seems to be producing both traps and leafs, is this normal?

It depends on a variety of factors. Since your plant is small and in new conditions it will most likely produce a few leaves and then start producing traps. Cephalotus Produce leaves mostly in winter and Traps in summer. But temperature, available light and moisture can also play a role.

Okay Thanks. I keep my plant in a south facing window sill and water it roughly every other day depending on how fast the water is used I keep the roots shielded from the sun with a tall clay container.

I'm wondering how long will it take for my Ceph to develop teeth on its parestome? Right now it is a seedling so it might be a year or two old.

My ceph was about the size of a US quarter when I received it just about a year ago. Maybe two months ago it produced its first adult pitcher, which has the toothed peristome.
