Has anyone has experience with germinating both species? I used GA3 but only B. gigantea responds. B. lamellata is extremely stubborn. Would heat/fire treatment be better? TIA!

Did you try soaking the seeds in Ga3 for 5 days? The colder the temps the better.I have had them germinate only after 24 hours of treatment.A lowrie recommends 4-5 days treatment.Sean

Hi Sean,
Thanks! I soaked them for only 24 hours.
What temperatures are considered cold? 50F? or lower?

Hi Sean,
Thanks loads for the tip! I re-soaked the seeds for another 4 days since the 18th and today I see the tiny white root appearing on 4 seeds!!! Woohoo!!!

Cindy, may I ask where you got the seeds from? Was it a commercial vendor? I am planning to increase my Byblis collection and am interested in finding out where people get viable seeds from. So many out there are bad seeds!
