Awesome plant. Greenhouse or chamber grown?

Nice photos and a magnificent plant, Matt. I wouldn't be able to bring myself to divide it either!

Thanks Peter and Mark. It's been growing in a "grow chamber" for many years now. I do nothing for humidity besides misting twice a day with a spray bottle with a little epiphytes delight dissolved. I recently started using max sea watered directly into the pot. I bought this plant from california carnivores i don't even know how long ago(4-6yrs). It was in a 4in pot with not 1 adult pitcher when i got it. I had to repot because it had no room and it kept shooting pitchers up on flower stalk type growth right into the lights. Oh yeah, I have two regular 4ft. shop lights pretty darn close to the heli 4-6in(its the tallest plant in the chamber)Every once and a while a nectar spoon burns, but i dont really have anywhere else for it to go. I rotate the pot daily so I think that helps it not burn. so i guess that more than answers your question. i got carried away. -Matt

Have you ever measured the humidity? I'm interested to see how a twice a day misting maintains the humidity.

I've never heard of vertical growth in Heliamphora except for H. tatei.
Those 'stolons' are cool.

Nice plant! It looks very happy. H. heterodoxa x minor will produce flower spikes accompanied by a pitcher on the bract at times. Temperature/seasonal change will encourage this phenomenon, in my conditions. Happy Growing, Brian

Those are flower stalks! Not stolons.
Nice plant, but you will probably want to divide it at some point. If not, the center can eventually rot out--This can happen to any plant that tends to bunch up--the old foliage and stems can start composting.
This isn't something that will happen in a year to two, but after five years, the plants are going need it.
