Hello, just set up a highland terrarium with a highpower peltier cooler. My temps are looking like 13 deg C at night or colder, and 28 in the day. So far i have only a H. minor. I have tried to grow one before but it died. It is under 4 T'5s at 16 hr photoperiod and 75-90%RH, i have a thermo/hygro stat to regulate temps and give a night drop. However will the heli be okay with 30 degrees in the day, as long as the temps drop a lot at night? i find my peltier is excellent at cooling at night however, it cant seem to compete with the lights in the day. and temps get to 29 so far. so i am a tad scared. I know for highland neps its fine, but i want the heli to thrive this time. One belefit is the cooler drips cold water, perhaps it will like that?? thanks !! ;D

I think it is too hot for H.minor. I keep mine under 80F during the daytime (about 26C) with a night temp. drop. And they are thrive.

the substrat is pure spagnum moss, in a breathable clear 5" orchid pot, on a top shelf in my tank under 4 t5's , a fan for circulation and great stable humidity , i keep him always damp and mist every night . with these new conditions my N. lowii x vietchii is seeming to take off with two new leaves lately? maybe it will be okay, give it some time to adapt perhaps?
