Coffee being acidic may also help in re acidifying a mix.

It's just barely acidic ph of 6.5.

That would possibly depend on the type of coffee used, No? I think so. I gave my N. ampullaria (red) x N. sibuyanensis a coffee treat a month ago, but no obvious change in growth speed. The coffee is starbuck ground coffee using bottle water.
