Hello All, I know this section is for posting requests to meet with CPer’s in other parts of the country or world while on a trip. I am not planning a trip per se, but rather a move back to Alaska from Massachusetts. I’ve greatly enjoyed my time here with members of the New England Carnivorous Plant Society and am bummed to have to let that go. So, getting to my point: It would be great to meet with other growers in Alaska. Anyone out there from the last frontier? Have you tried growing any plants under the midnight sun of summer? I raised carnivorous plants indoors for years when I lived there but never tried outdoor growing. I have a pile of plants to move (yes, each and every one is making the move). There’s a pic in one of my other posts of one of my tanks: icps.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=cephalotus&action=display&thread=3446It’s not a huge collection, but it’s still going to be quite a big plant relocation project nonetheless . . . Thanks, Wayne

Greetings from the Last Frontier Wayne!
Good for Alaska--getting another CPer! There are a few of us with the fever around (3 ICPS members around the state), and a lot of curious folks buying from the home improvement box type stores and greenhouses. Probably not quite like what you're used to in the Lower 48, and definitely nothing organized like the NECPS. But, we're out there (or around here?)! :-)
Would definitely be glad to connect as you move back up. Have done my mix of in-door (mostly) and outdoor Sarracenia and Pinguicula--some people think they have it bad with squirrels...we can talk about moose sometime!
Happy Trails, Mike
