Non-carnivores that can often be found in the same communities as our CP's friends. Pogonia ophioglossoides, Rose Pogonia. Common in spots in south Jersey. Arethusa bulbosa, Dragonmouth Orchid. Patchy distribution in south Jersey Calopogon barbatus, Bearded Grass Pink. Florida Calopogon pulchellus, Grass Pink. New Jersey New Jersey is the largest producer of cranberries in the world. You can find lots of wild ones, and lots of these as well…huge farms A tremendous amount of Pinelands habitat has been altered by cranberry farming. I guess it’s better than just draining the whole southern portion of the state to plant corn or soy, because it uses the natural water table, but it’s still momoculture. Habenaria blephariglottis, White-fringed Orchid. South Jersey As promised, this was a short one. Take Care & Thanks for looking
