These highland plants are N. smilesii. You can recognize N. thorelii by its fat (globose) lower pitchers. The lower pitchers are similar to those of the species from Phang Nga, Thailand (the unofficial cultivar name is Viking). But while sp. Phang Nga has mirabilis-like leaves, N. thorelii does not. It has narrow leaves like N. smilesii or N. sanguinea.
