Hi Folks: Don't forget we sell both red and green sphagnum on our catalog at www.pitcherplant.org. We haven't broken these down into species but that is something we might do in the future. Sincerely, Phil Sheridan Meadowview

I bought a death cube and the plant in it was as good as toast when I got it so after it died I did this and got a few to grow for me.
1 I removed the dead plant. 2. I placed it in a window sill in almost full sun. 3. I watered the spagnum 1ce a day.
thanks ieatflys

1. Are you certain it is Sphagnum moss? 2. Many garden centers have "lifetime" guarantees on plants they sell. If you still have the receipt the store might replace the plant.

Lol, I have death cube with nothing but sphagnum in it for years now. It has it's own little peat bog in the bottom. Actually there's a tiny drosera aliciae (spelling?) that's still hanging on in there. It gets strong morning sun on a windowsill.

I would buy a bag of what is called orchid moss and spread it out in a relatively shallow plastic tray. Add rain water and put outside. It does come alive in time.
