Oh I read it just fine.. although that was rather rude to say I hadn't. I was rather surprised by the other responses that seemed to think that it was some sort of new variety of N. ampullaria. I got the impression that perhaps others hadn't. I have pots of N. ampullaria making basal rosettes that have many 'albino' pitchers under the soil.

Yes that was a bit confused there fischermans IMHO. Our friend tonyp of exoticplantsplus.com/Par O Bek Orchids is well mannered, read, and a leader in our hobby. Check out the black truncata thread. Don't get me wrong, I know your collection is very nice, I wish mine were that beautiful. But you should consider who you're talking too before shooting from the hip perhaps, my .02.
Thanks Tony, I've never had a subterranean pitcher before, still looks pretty cool though.

I'll stand by my etiquette. It was constructive criticism, and there's a compliment acknowledging his growing. Sorry you don't like my .02. If that's not nice enough, I'm truly sorry.

Now i wonder... could one intentionally cover a pitcher (wrapping it in, say, LFS and tinfoil?) and make it do that? I'd love to do it myself if i had the space, but alas.... a college student has no end to his lack of space...

That's actually a really cool idea, could even become chique in flower arrangenments. Imagine just for dreaming sake a giant macrophylla-albino pitcher in an arrangement or just glazed to drink out of as you sit on piles of doubloons laughing as... Sorry, just dreaming.
