I'm sure it's been asked before. Why no trade forum/area? ICPS distributes seeds, in essence trading or distributing for the cause so to speak. So why not open trading as well, closely monitored of course?

Hi Jack, that is a specific choice we made when setting up this forum. We chose not to have adds which many people find annoying and we took it further as to exclude all trading. (an exception can be granted on request for say education or conservation fund raisers). Basically it is one of the things that sets this forum apart from others. This forum is about data, asking questions and getting answers, not sales. Active trade will only fill space and we thought there were enough forums that do have a trade section already. Since they are mostly local they are more efficient at that. Also it saves us a lot of checking because we don't want international and/or local laws and rules to be broken and we don't want to risk that trades on our forum will be illegal. So, short of checking out every seller/offer and knowing every rule in the CP world we opted for a no sales policy. A local site will most likely know sellers and buyers and will probably (or should I say hopefully) be familiar with the specific rules in that part of the world. I hope this is a clear enough answer for you,

Superbly clear and from that perspective I completely understand, sound reasoning.
Thanks Marcel.
