Trough most of the 1990s CP lovers in the Seattle & Vancouver B.C. area use to come together & play with our plants or each others under the umbrella of the PNWCPC. A few hardy folks from Or. even use to show up. Any way due to greed & personality we finely ended up going our separate ways more or less ten years ago.
Any one who remembers me knows I'll clutch tenaciously at any excuse to have a party. So I was thinking. My Sarracenia bogs are starting to overflow & I was just kind of hoping there might be enough interest in the area to try to reform. In the process maybe my new found friends ( and if I'm lucky a few old friends. ) could yard away some of my surplus Sarrs. Free of Charge so I don't have to start chucking my excess in the yard waste bin.
Doesn't seem to have woken any one up so far. Not sure I'm willing to wait too much longer. Probably start chucking stuff in the compost bin about the 1st of June if no one in the area wants to have a get together.
I don't drive thru Eugene too often either but you never know. The thing about CP is they will just keep growing as long as there is water & bugs in their world. A bucket or so of surplus plants may just tag along with me next time I'm down that way.
Closed my nursery a year or two ago. Have no desire to work that hard any more.
I am an old man & have been through 1 car wreck too many. Been busted up, never healed right, having some nasty trouble with arthritis lately. If no one around here wants to get together, may be find a new friend to CP around with & pick up a few free plants. then I'll just chuck my surpluses in the bin. you don't have enough money to get my attention on this subject, life is too short.
