Hi Folks:
We have several volunteer opportunities coming up and I want to make sure you are aware of them.
First, we have a camping weekend at the Joseph pines Preserve March 6-9 where we will be planting almost 1500 native Virginia longleaf. We will also be dong some bog clearing and experimental Sarracenia seed sowing. Evenings include social and dinner by the campfire. If you are not the camping type you can stay in near by hotels.
Second, we have an intern program that is open to both domestic and foreign applicants. We have had interns from both Canada and England as well as several from the U.S. We are working full tilt right now and have a very busy spring and summer ahead. Positions include lodging and a meal stipend.
If you are interested in interning, or volunteering, in our conservation, restoration, and propagation program please contact me privately at meadowview@pitcherplant.org.
Sincerely,
Phil Sheridan Director Meadowview Biological Research Station
