Yes, H. Heterodoxa X Minor is THE beginner's plant, incuding those two species.

Hello,
The fore-mentioned hybrid grows best with a 10-12 degree drop at night. Humidity around 70-75% seems optimal, at least in my conditions.
Happy Growing, Brian.

Definitely should be grown as highlanders or constant low temperatures below 75F could be okay too.

its wierd there are photos of a lot of growers with them as lowlanders like bicalcarata like conditions, but from what i gather highland "nepenthes" conditions should be fine, i hope lol

YES, the plants could grow as lowlanders for a while. However, in the long run, provide significant drop in temperture if you wan't to see good grwoth.

Yes, H. Heterodoxa X Minor is THE beginner's plant, incuding those two species. I have tried many different species of Heliamphora and the two that have proved tougher than any other are Heliamphora heterodoxa x ionasii and H.heterodoxa x minor. They can cope well with lower humidity, lower winter temps (down to 5C) and higher summer temps than any other I have tried. Heliamphora heterodoxa x ionasii H.heterodoxa x minor

gardenofeden looks like those plants are growing in a simple greenhouse isolated from too mush cold or isn't it? do you have a fog system or do you spray them aften ? I just wonder if I should put mine in my veranda too instead of a terrarium inside so that temeratures drop lower

They grew very fast. Too bad the second year early november i forgot to bring them inside and the were killed by frost.

I just wonder if I should put mine in my veranda too instead of a terrarium inside so that temeratures drop lower it is just a frost free greenhouse, kept at 5C minimum upto 35C maximum (sometimes a bit higher). No fogging, misting, spraying or cooling, they stand in water trays with the rest of my Sarracenia and Cephalotus. Full sun in summer. They get a natural night-time drop in temps. I would not chop and change your conditions, they would not like rapid variations in humidity by being moved from veranda to tank on a daily basis if thats what you mean. If they are growing well where they are then leave them.
