Is it poached or wild collected? Unless you are going to return to the spot, where you collected, and spread seed then it's poaching. Which I doubt these ppl are doing.

–noun 1. the illegal practice of trespassing on another's property to hunt or steal game without the landowner's permission. 2. any encroachment on another's property, rights, ideas, or the like.
Where is there a definition that says you have to re-seed to prevent it from being poaching ? Unless it's on private property or a refuge and the collector had no permission, then it's wild collected-not poaching. Do not forget, all of our material comes from wild collected seed, and it could be worse: He could be taking plants(he may be for all we know). And, he is not alone. There are many people in that area of the world who wild collect seed . Yes, I am playing Devil's Advocate.

Killerplants This is for taking plants not sure about seed. In the US you have to have the owners permission and in most states you have to buy a permit. And if I'm not mistaken you have to reseed the area you took them from. When and if you get seed from the plants taken. I am not sure about just taking the seed. I'll try to find the article I got this from. This is not in the US though. Don't know what their laws are.

Sorry, I thought we were talking about Indonesia, not the US. If you find anything(even about the US), please post it. It would be a interesting read, regardless. I have never wc anything(do not live near any to be tempted, lol, and I did not take anything when I went to Big Thicket for my forst wild cp experience). What I was trying to get at, was it sucks if he is taking plants, but I myself have no idea where exactly the plants grow-they may not be in a protected area or an area where the land is owned. I have no idea of their laws. His English may not be very good, but honestly, to swear at him about his practices(which, we do not know are illegal yet, do we?), is not the best diplomacy. That's not directed to you personally, taz6122, just a general comment.
Cheers,

I'm sorry, but what is anyone's problem this this fellows activities?
Everything sounds fine and on the up and up to me.
This thread sounds like a liberal witch hunt. There is no evidence this fellow is doing something wrong.
You're nuts.

It does seem that this guy has been lynched without evidence. There is nothing to stop people collecting wild seeds perfectly legally in the majority of countries provided you do it ethically. This usually means only collecting a fraction of the total seeds available and not the majority of them and also having the landowners permission. The idea of going back and re-seeding is a new one on me.
Wild collected seed, ethically collected, has been offered for sale on a number of forums and I have bought and grown some of it, as have many other people.
There seems to be some double standards here...
