Hello everyone. My name is Doug Fleer. I currently reside in Tampa, FL.
And today is my first day being a member of the ICPS. I have just purchased seeds from the seed bank and am looking forward to talking with avid carnivorous plant lovers alike.

Welcome Doug. It's good to have a fellow Floridian on here. Hello. Is Florida weather good for Carnivorous plants? Besides Hurricane season.

Depends on what CP you're looking to grow. It's perfect for Sarracenia, lowland Nepenthes, most Drosera, and southeastern Pinguicula.

Hi Doug, I am a carnivorous plant grower from Tampa too. I have been growing about 3 years and have about 200 plants. I have been emailing everyone I can find in Florida about creating a Florida CP club. The one in Tampa is disbanned as far as I can tell. Have you gone to the USF Botanical Gardens? I think in Florida we have our own CP growing issues, and I would like to talk with other local growers to see how people overcome them. Do you grow outside or in? Do you have a greenhouse? How long have you been growing? What kind of plants do you have? I wish you well. Tanja
