Hello everyone,
Happy to be here on the forum! Great source of learning for CP's........
I've been growing sarracenia in outdoor bogs since 1997 and having the time of my life doing so. My favorites are the flavas, because of their myriad color combos.
I'm afraid this 2007 spring/winter/spring ( put your shopping list of weather extremes here ) has been devastating to my plants. Nineteen degree record low for April doesn't make for good blooming conditions for any sort of flora. The stalks and buds of the pitcher plants looked like they had melted the day after the big freeze.
Looking forward to contributing to the forum where I can.
Best, Charlie

Hello and welcome Charlie. Yes, the weather really has done a number on our plants. I've walked around my property and am rather shocked at how many plants ended up fried. Rather disheartening to say the least. Next year will be better, I'm convinced.

Hi Charlie, I live in TN too!! Same weather here. Had to cover my plants so the same wouldn't happen. Glad you are here!
