Hola CostaRicaCultivator, My Parents live in Playa Negra (South of Tamarindo). I visited in mid December for a month and was blown away with the quanity/quality/and price of HUGE neps that I saw for sale in the area of the volcano Arenal. If only I could convince my wife that she likes the heat in CR. I am new to the forum and need to search abit, but I would love to see some pictures of your collection. Chris

hey chris!
check out in the nepenthes section a few threads i've participated in. they all have pictures from my collection and yes, even of the huge nep you saw in arenal! that's the one consensus declares to be gentle (or velvet). so you visit guanacaste a lot? i work for the papagayo gulf project which is north of the tamarindo/flamingo area. closer to the liberia airport if you know your way around.
¡hola manny!
mucho gusto en conocerte. should you come to costa rica you'll find pinguicula crenatiloba in the wild. the people from the inbio grow it in their "ranarios" you know, where frogs live. (for my life, can't think of the name in english. must be getting old....) but so far i haven't been able to get seeds from them. i'll keep trying and let you know.
