Hah! That's a cool orchid photo you have there. I don;t recognize the species, I haven;t seen it in my orchid book. More than you expect the flower parts will look like birds, which I think is one of the weirder coincidences I've seen..

It's Serapia lingua I was going to give you a link but apparently I'm it according to google This information is from John Tullock Common name - Tongue orchid Native to Mediterranean Europe and North Africa. Flowering period - Winter (summer dormant) *[ Spring flowering for me]* Hardiness - Zone 8 - 10 ( 7 with protection) minimum 15F. Hope this helps. I just love the hardy terrestrials. Many will cohabit with CPs. This one started to open today
