Hey Folks,
If you are a scientist involved in various aspects of botany, biology, biochemistry, conservation, etc., please contact me directly (barry(at)carnivorousplants.org) and tell me about your fields of expertise.
I am always looking for people who might be available for refereeing papers submitted to Carnivorous Plant Newsletter.
Typically, referees are either professional scientists with PhDs, but this is not necessarily required.
Cheers
Barry

Thanks for sharing. Very nice speed, the pygmies which grow as basal rosettes developed in fact the fastest snap-tentacles after D. glanduligera. Try also the former D. ericksoniae (now renamed into D. omissa, but I don't mean the former D. nitidula ssp. omissa now renamed into D. patens ... which Barthlott and Schlauer consider to be all just varieties of D. nitidula. Regards Siggi.

So neat to watch plants move, I never get over the awe I feel in watching my Venus flytrap close or my drosera slowly curl over their springtail prey (they ate them all, when I was trying to establish a population in the container to limit some of the fungus risk XD)

Not to be to rude Richard, but why do you speak in coded form (Has-R-'keen'-) for example is obviously "has a keen eye", I have tried reading a few of your other posts on other topics and struggle to decipher them.
Is there a reason behind it, do you enjoy riddling people, does your computer have a virus, art thou INSANE?
