Does anybody know if there are any carnivorous plants indiginous to Nebraska? If there is, does anybody know how I could get one?

I would love to know this also. I've read that the common teasel may have some attributes to being carnivorous. But that's not the type i have in mind. I'd like to find out about a more "traditional" looking carnivorous plant, not a weed in my eyes (although the teasel works well in a dried arrangement). Saltee, what part of NE are you from? I'm in the SE, straight south of Lincoln, by the Kan. boarder.

If you take from the wild, make sure you have permission from the land owner. That said, I suggest you take only pictures and leave only footprints, since the plants from Nebraska (Most plants for that matter) are easily obtained online.
PS: Thread moved to News from the Field, North America. I had a hard time figuring out where this went, too.

Thats nice! I also didn't know NE had any- I think i'll try to get some. I won't take any from wild populations, though- I only accept captive propogated life.
